Hi everybody! I am sapped dry of inspiration today so a bunch of poorly lighted food pics will simply have to do. Here are some hits from my last 2 years of private cheffing (mostly dishes that would be refreshing breaks from my actual January diet of potatoes) plus a few random extras from my phone. Recipes in the captions. Email will cut off so click through if you want to see it all.
can’t find a recipe so I must have winged it and you can, too: canned sardines, fresh croutons (tear up bread, toss with salt and oil, bake in 425F oven until golden and crisp), canned butter beans, roasted fennel, arugula, lemon
chicken gyro bowl— recipe below
ok Cooking Light magazine! P.S. I used a grill pan
just FYI these are the best chips and BEST tortillas
actual real life dish I was asked to prepare specifically this way at last job (for a kid but still)
favorite little sandwich in Brooklyn (I love sardines)
in my top 10 salads: green mango salad from Burma Superstar cookbook, the home of one of my best restaurant lunches ever (in Oakland), and no that is not an affiliate link bc Amazon told me I didn’t set those up right so I gave up and now that I can’t make money off that/you, I realize that I am morally against affiliate links anyway. So!
Korean pajeon (vegetable pancake) and the fabulous pajeon mix you can find at H-Mart or....on Amazon. Good way to use up veg and makes for a great winter lunch. The mix is also way better than homemade (I've tried).
don’t get close to me after I have my stinky weekend snack = tinned sardines and these crackers
included here for no reason: ham and cheese in Budapest with tube-style coldcuts— hoping to never see this method again
and a delightful little fruit salad for dessert
Well. Turns out that took way more time and effort than if I’d just written out a recipe letter, and with the added bonus that I burned like 20 newsletter topics in one go. 😃🗡️😃🗡️😃🗡️😃🗡️😃🗡️
Love ya!
